I work part-time for EcoIQ, an environmental media company. Two of our major projects are a speakers bureau, EcoSpeakers, and a stock video agency, EcoFootage. Independently, I am developing an environmental sustainability stock photo agency, Green Stock Media, that is a major expansion of my EcoPhotos site. I also assist two nonprofits, Sustainable Silicon Valley and the Environmental Volunteers, with website updates.

As a volunteer project, I am participating as an at-large member on the Mountain View Environmental Sustainability Task Force. It is an exciting opportunity to be involved in helping the city I live in take its environmental stewardship to the next level, especially at a time when the planet faces a massive ecological crisis. One design task I was given was to quickly create an image for the website that spoke to the issues and drew people in. I utilized photos I had taken in Mountain View:

I have been working in the field of web design, photography, and video for eight years. I have a degree in Sociology from U.C. Berkeley and later went back to school to study Interactive Media Design at The Art Institute of California-San Francisco. The program honed my graphic design skills, deepened my understanding of user interface requirements, and extended my abilities into areas such as motion graphics. As I hope you can tell, my passion lies at the crossroads of environmentalism and digital media.
