When I stopped in a bike shop in Moab, Utah to get some work done on my bike I asked one of the mechanics if there were some good hikes around. He suggested I go up the Moab Rim Trail. I had just enough time to make the 700 foot climb up the rock slab jeep trail to catch a spectacular sunset on the way down. It definitely pays to ask the locals for things to do!
